Requesting materials in advance<\/h2>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

You\u2019re welcome to visit the library to borrow materials. Most of our collections are stored in closed stacks, and we can usually retrieve the items while you wait. However, you can also request materials in advance through our online catalogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

To request items online:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

  1. Log in using your email address and the password you created for your library account. Read more about how to create an account<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Search for the item you want to borrow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click the \u2018Reserve\u2019<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You\u2019ll receive an email from us when your items are ready to collect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

    If you can\u2019t find what you\u2019re looking for, it may be listed in the Card Catalogue for Sheet Music<\/a> or the Card Catalogue for Theatre Literature<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

    Suggest a purchase or interlibrary loan<\/h2>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n
    \n

    If we don\u2019t have the item you\u2019re looking for, we may be able to purchase it or request it from another library.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

    1. Log in to your library account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Fill in the \u2018<\/strong>Interlibrary Loan and Purchase Suggestion\u2019<\/a> form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. We\u2019ll get back to you once we\u2019ve reviewed your request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

      Most purchases and interlibrary loans are free of charge, but some exceptions may apply \u2013 see our price list<\/a>. We never place orders that involve a cost to you without your prior confirmation.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

      Interlibrary loans via your local library<\/h2>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

      If you can\u2019t visit our library in Stockholm, you can borrow from us via your local library using your regular library card.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

      Here is how it works:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

      1. Search for the item in our online catalogue<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Tell your local library what you would like to borrow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Your library will send a request to us.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. You collect and return the material at your local library.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n
